this route uses "established" trails as much as possible while attempting to maintain the idea of the high route as established by steve howe. the idea of using routes from maps is that the way should be passable and prevent one from hitting a deadend due to a cliff or something of the sort. there is some off trail routing and some trails most likely will no longer be maintained. way finding and navigation will be required.
